Overview
Department of oral medicine and radiology is unique and interface between dentistry and medicine. Department is mainly concerned with the preliminary screening of all dental patients who report for dental treatment. The department educates undergraduate and post graduate students in the diagnosis and medical management of Orofacial disorders like facial pain, Temporomandibular Disorders, Salivary gland Pathologies, Oromucosal lesions, Oral cancer and Precancerous lesions and Management of medically compromised patients. The department equipped withIntra oral camera, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve stimulator (TENS unit), Fibre optic diagnostic system, Biopsyequipments, Sialography unit, digital panoramic x-ray machine, general x-ray unit (100 mA) and intra oral x-ray unit with intra and extra automatic film processing unit. The department aims at promoting research and innovation which will motivate better learning and exchange of knowledge among students and faculties.
